02. Introduction
03. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you contact the Firm through our intake form, by email, by phone, or otherwise, we may collect:
- Your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number
- The general subject matter of your inquiry, such as estate planning, probate, or real estate
- Information you voluntarily include in your message describing your situation
- Any documents you choose to share with us
Please do not send confidential information until we have established an attorney–client relationship in writing.
Initial inquiries are not protected by attorney–client privilege. Share only the general nature of your matter — not sensitive facts, account numbers, or privileged communications — until we have confirmed representation.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically collect:
- Your IP address and approximate location at city or region level
- Browser type, operating system, and device information
- Referring website and pages viewed on our Site
- Date and time of access and duration of visit
04. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation
- To evaluate whether the Firm can represent you and check for conflicts of interest
- To provide legal services to clients with whom we have a signed engagement agreement
- To send appointment reminders, billing communications, and case-related updates
- To improve the operation, content, and security of the Site
- To comply with applicable laws, ethics rules, and court orders
05. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the limited circumstances described below:
- With Your Consent When you direct us to share information with a third party, such as a financial advisor, accountant, opposing counsel, or court.
- Service Providers With vendors that help us operate the Firm, such as our case management system, document storage provider, email host, and website host, each bound by appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Legal Requirements When required by law, court order, subpoena, or the rules of professional conduct governing Ohio and Kentucky attorneys.
- To Prevent Harm When we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm to a person or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Firm or others.
06. Attorney–Client Confidentiality
Once an attorney–client relationship has been established by a signed engagement agreement, all communications between you and the Firm regarding your legal matter are protected by the attorney–client privilege and the rules of professional conduct.
Until that relationship is established, information you send to the Firm — including through this Site, by email, or by voicemail — may not be protected as confidential and could, in some circumstances, prevent the Firm from representing another party in a related matter.
07. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure site performance, and understand how visitors use the Site. Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser.
- Essential cookies are required for basic Site functionality.
- Analytics cookies help us understand aggregate traffic patterns and improve our content.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the Site may not work properly as a result. We do not use cookies to deliver targeted advertising, and we do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals because no industry standard for doing so has been adopted.
08. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted document storage, password protection, restricted access on a need-to-know basis, and routine review of our practices.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use discretion when transmitting sensitive information by email or web form.
09. Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights with respect to the personal information we hold about you:
- Access You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction You may ask us to correct information you believe to be inaccurate.
- Deletion You may ask us to delete personal information that is not subject to our record-retention obligations as a law firm.
- Opt Out of Communications You may unsubscribe from non-essential email communications at any time.
The Firm is required by the rules of professional conduct to retain client files for a minimum period after a matter concludes. Requests inconsistent with those retention obligations cannot be honored.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below. We will respond within thirty (30) days.
